Privacy Policy for the Tahzib Tadabburi Quran App

The app helps users read the Noble Quran, create reading, Quran completion, prayer, and tahzib plans, and track their progress. It does not require the creation of an online user account.

This policy explains what data the app uses, its network connections, and how data can be controlled and deleted.

1. Data stored on the device

The app locally stores the reading plans created by the user, their names and settings, completed passages, the reading position within pages, the selected riwaya, and language, appearance, and font preferences.

This data is used to provide the app’s features and resume reading. In the current version, the app does not upload the user’s plans, reading history, or preferences to Nour El Islem’s servers.

2. Internet connection

After each successful startup, the app normally checks for Quran data updates and the catalog of available riwayat. It also connects to the data server when an additional riwaya or a data update is downloaded at the user’s request and with their approval.

These requests are sent to data.nourelislem.com. The hosting infrastructure receives the IP address and the technical request information needed to provide the files. The requested file path may reveal which riwaya is being downloaded. These requests do not include the user’s plans or how far they have progressed in their reading.

Downloaded data remains available for offline use after the download is complete. HTTPS connections are used. The app verifies the signature of the update manifest or riwaya catalog, then the size, SHA-256 digest, and content integrity of each package before accepting it.

3. Hosting logs

WHC’s hosting infrastructure may produce technical access and error logs. These logs may include the IP address, requested URL or path, request time, response size, referrer, user agent, and the HTTP status, method, and protocol. They are used to provide and secure the service, analyze traffic and performance, and diagnose errors. The fact that reading plans are stored locally does not mean that these logs are absent.

In the effective WHC account settings shown on October 10, 2026, raw access log archiving to the account’s logs directory is enabled, as is the option that removes the previous month’s archive at the end of each month. The tool reports that these values are inherited from the server’s default configuration (using_default=1). The retention_days value is 0, so the day-based cleanup mechanism imposes no expiration, while the separate monthly deletion rule remains enabled for the archives managed in the account.

The period for which WHC retains live access logs and server error logs is not visible to the cPanel account holder, and we found no numeric period for them in WHC’s public documentation; WHC manages those logs at the server level. Information may be requested through the privacy email address provided below.

4. Permissions, advertising, and analytics

The current version uses the Internet connection to download data and check for updates. It does not request access to location, contacts, the camera, or the microphone.

The current version does not include advertisements, built-in tools for analyzing user behavior, or tracking for advertising purposes.

5. External services and communications

When an external link is opened, or when Google Play is used to download or update the app, that service’s processing of data is governed by its own privacy policy.

When you contact support, we receive the sender’s email address, the content of the message, and any attachments they choose to send so that we can process the request. Users are advised not to send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

6. Data retention and deletion

Plans, progress, and preferences remain stored on the device until the user deletes them or clears the app’s data. Plans can be deleted from within the app, and all of its local data can be cleared through the Android settings.

Some local data may be included in backups managed by the operating system, depending on the user’s settings. The management and deletion of those backups are governed by the relevant backup service.

In the current version, Nour El Islem does not retain its own cloud copy of reading plans. You may contact us to request the deletion of support correspondence, subject to any retention required by law.

7. Policy updates

We may update this policy when the app’s features or its data-processing practices change. The update date is shown on the page, and material changes are explained when they occur.
