This policy describes the downloadable Windows 1.0.3+4 release and the app’s data handling. Android and iOS are in development; describing future distribution does not mean that either version has been published or approved by a store.
1. Local data
Bidaya stores the selected language, completed lessons, favourites, the last lesson and listening-exercise results in local app preferences. This data is used to resume learning and display progress.
The current release does not send this data to an app server and provides neither a Bidaya account nor cloud synchronisation of progress.
2. Lessons and Internet access
The Windows package includes all lessons, images, recordings and videos. Once every file has been downloaded and extracted, the content works locally without YouTube streaming or a first-run lesson download.
When the Android version becomes available through Google Play, the store will download its content packs using Play Asset Delivery during installation only. After installation completes, lessons, audio and videos will play from local files, with no streaming or content downloads inside the app. The store account and settings are separate from Bidaya.
No Android or iOS release is currently offered for public download on this page.
3. Permissions, advertising and analytics
The app does not record the learner’s voice or score pronunciation automatically. Listening-exercise checking evaluates the selected answer, without voice analysis; a teacher assesses recitation and pronunciation.
The current release does not request access to the microphone, camera, contacts or geographic location. It contains no advertisements, usage-analytics service or advertising tracking.
4. Young learners
The educational content can be used with children under a guardian’s or teacher’s supervision. Bidaya does not request a child’s name, age, email address or voice recording to provide the lessons. The learning data described above stays local.
Anyone with access to the device or its screen may see progress, favourites and exercise results. Device access is controlled through operating-system settings.
5. Retention, backup and deletion
Preferences and progress remain on the device until local app data is deleted. A lesson can be unmarked as completed or removed from favourites within the app. There is no Bidaya cloud account requiring a server-side deletion request.
Files and preferences are subject to operating-system settings, including any enabled backup. On Windows, deleting the ZIP or program folder does not necessarily delete preferences kept in the app-data area. This data and any backups must be deleted separately for complete removal.
6. Website, downloads and external links
Local learning-data storage concerns the app itself. When visiting Nour El Islem or downloading the Windows package, the hosting infrastructure may receive the IP address and technical request information and produce access logs as described in the general website policy.
Method-source links open a browser only when selected. The connection and data handling then fall under the external website’s policy. Store and operating-system services are governed by their own policies when used.
7. Method and content attribution
The educational content, Bidaya name and logo remain the property of their respective owners. Making this app available does not transfer ownership of the method or announce an open licence for it. Method sources:
